Well, hello and happy official summer!
It has been awhile since I’ve posted - in large part because it has been a very busy year! Back in February, I was in New York for a wholesale show called NY NOW where I picked some new stores who now sell my work (for a list of retailers, click here); and in May I went to Baltimore for the American Craft Made Show (which is also usually held in February, but this year was delayed due to the surge in cases of the Omicron variant of Covid). And I’m now in the studio getting work made to send out to stores, and coming up with new designs to bring to my next New York show in August.
But I do have a fun little bit of news to share with you … I’ve won a couple of InStore Awards! For a little bit of background, the InStore Awards are hosted by InStore Magazine - a to-the-jewelry-trade magazine for jewelry designers and jewelry stores. (So not one that you’d see at your local newsstand.) Each year, they host their awards for designer jewelry in wide range of categories. This year, I’m delighted to announce that I won First Place in the categories of ‘Colored Stone Jewelry Under $5000’ and ‘Pearl Jewelry Under $5000’!
Both of these pieces sold quite quickly - but I do have similar work available. Here's a similar pair of pearl earrings, and here's a similar pair of Montana agate earrings.
