I'm so excited to share this video about me and my work made by the extremely talented filmmaker & photographer Jennifer Simonson. We spent several afternoons filming and talking about my process for designing and creating jewelry, my love of hands on making, and the importance of beauty in the world. Opal is my current favorite stone. And as it also happens to be the birthstone for October (along with tourmaline), it's an ideal time to talk about this gorgeous gem! I’ve been using opals a lot in my new Karin Jacobson Fine Jewelry Collection, which, with its organic style, lends itself well to these organic shaped stones.
